A notoriously clumsy pirate, Captain "Grumble" McGee, is down on his luck. His only companion is Pip, an unusually intelligent and sarcastic parrot who is the only one who knows the location of the legendary Sunken Treasure of a Thousand Feathers. The twist? Pip can't speak human language; he communicates through elaborate charades, impersonations, and by strategically pooping on maps. The series follows their chaotic journey across treacherous seas, battling rival pirates, mythical sea creatures, and the Royal Navy. Grumble constantly misinterprets Pip's clues, leading to hilarious misadventures, like accidentally invading a peaceful island of capybaras or stealing what he thinks is a magical gem but is actually a queen's prized pickled egg. Along the way, they pick up a quirky crew: a navigator who can only navigate by the stars on cloudy nights and a chef who's a pacifist. The real treasure isn't just gold, but the unlikely friendship and found family they build, with Pip ultimately being the true mastermind behind their eventual success.
